The "75 ski days, 1 million vertical feet" feat

Ski Day#: 75 Date:   04/04/19 YTD totals: 788 Runs/Lift Rides, 1,074,020 Vertical ft., 948 miles Area:   49* North Weather:Partly cloudy, chilly 43*F Snow: Firm w/ soft top layer, very cut up Best Thing: Meeting the goals of 75 skis days and 1 million vertical feet. I'm ready to do other stuff, set other goals, but looking forward to next ski season. It was great to live 22 miles from 49* North, and 66 miles from Schweitzer. It was a good winter, early start (1 day after Thanksgiving), but slow to accumulate snow in Dec. February was off the hook, with lot's of powder days and very cold weather. Typically, we have a week of warm, rainy weather in February, enough to cause the Spokane River to reach spring runoff levels. Ski Day#: 74 Date:   04/03/19 YTD totals: 785 Runs/Lift Rides, 1,068,469 Vertical ft., 943 miles Area:   49* North Weather: High overcast, 45*F Snow: Firm w/ soft,  great for carving Best Thing: Being able to do this Daily: 1 Runs, 1884 vertical ft,  1.8 miles

Ski Day#: 73 Date:   04/02/19 YTD totals: 784 Runs/Lift Rides, 1,066,585 Vertical ft., 941 miles Area:   49* North Weather: Blue Bird 55*F, amazing weather on the deck apres ski Snow: Firm w/ soft,  great for carving Best Thing: Burger and beers on the deck (thanks to the gift certificate from my son Josh, for my birthday). The sun felt amazing, and it was interesting to reflect on the winter skiing there. Looking up the hill, at the summit ridge from the base, made me aware how much I love this place. Daily: 12 Runs, 20,294 vertical ft,  17.8 miles

Ski Day#: 72 Date:   04/01/19 YTD totals: 772 Runs/Lift Rides, 1,046,291 Vertical ft., 923 miles Area:   49* North Weather: Highly dynamic... sunny and warm, to cloudy and chilly. Some snow flurries and rain as well. Snow: Soft, great for carving Best Thing: Being properly dressed for all of the weather changes. Lot's of cute little kids up skiing today. Daily: 6 Runs, 10,703 vertical ft,  10.6 miles
