Ski Day#: 50 Date:   02/26/19 YTD totals: 575 Runs/Lift Rides, 714, 081 Vertical ft, 621 miles, # of smiles = a shit-ton Area:   49° North Weather: C-c-c-c-ooooooold! 10*F, Blue Bird skies! Snow: Dry, old, cut up powder, packed powder groomed.  Best thing: Hitting 7 turns, 4 times, on un-tracked powder under lift #1, just below midway. Most-of-all, the fortune (financial, physical, health, geographic, spiritually) of being able to be a ski-bum, and ski this many days. Daily stats: 7 Runs, 13, 818 Vertical ft, 11.3  miles

Ski Day#: 49 Date:   02/25/19 YTD totals: 568 Runs/Lift Rides, 700, 263 Vertical ft., 601 miles,  Area:   49° North  Weather: Cold, 15*F, windy on summit Snow: Cut up powder, soft to medium firm groomed Best thing: Pow stashes near water tank on chair 5. Exploring in this area.  Daily stats:  6 Runs, 10,613 Vertical ft, 9.7 miles

Ski Day#: 48 Date:   02/24/19 YTD totals: 561 Runs/Lift Rides, 689,650 Vertical ft., 590 miles, Area:   49° North  Weather: Blue skies, 20*F Snow: Soft, cut up powder. Best thing: Pow stashes found! Ski Day#: 47 Date:   02/22/19 YTD totals: 553 Runs/Lift Rides, 677, 296 Vertical ft., 589 miles, # of smiles...... a lot Area:   49° North   Weather: Snowing hard, 20*-24*F Snow: Soft, new fluff on top of cut up powder, on top of firm base. Very good off-piste, technical to ski, but very fun.  Found some stashes of boot deep, down feather powder at the top of Powder Keg, Hole in the Wall trees, Peacemaker, sides of Last Chance and Sluice Box.  Best thing: Had to park in overflow parking lot, due to not getting there until 10:15 and "Toyota Ski Free Friday". As such, I found and took a short cut through the trees from the cat track, and skied a line to the road with knee deep, untracked fluff, if only for 4 turns, instead of walking from the lodge. (You can clearly see where I left the cat track in the map below). Right knee slightly sore afterwards at night, medial joint line, did a lot of lower leg rotation skiing these conditions. Ski Day#: 46 Date:   02/20/19 YTD totals: 545 Runs/Lift Rides, 662, 755 Vertical ft., 577 miles Area:   Schweitzer  Weather: Blue Bird, 20*F Snow: 2" new fluff, on top of a n=bunch of cut up powder. Many deep stashes were found. Best thing: Headwall was particuarly good, if not a bit tricky, varying from boot deep pow, to very firm snow, w/o new snow over it. This is where looking ahead 2-3 turns came in handy. Alot of snow got blown into it, and no one else was skiing it!  Daily stats:  17 Runs, 22,680 Vertical ft, 18.1 miles

Ski Day#: 45  Date:   02/19/19 YTD totals: 528 Runs/Lift Rides, 640,075  Vertical ft., 559 miles,  Area:   49° North   Weather: Cloudy, lightly snowing, which tickled my nose constantly, 25*F Snow: Groomed - firm, packed  powder,  Off-piste- Cut up powder, still found some stashes. Best thing: Finding some pow stashes on the sides and in the trees. I really didn;t want to go skiing today when I woke up, but did anyway. It was fun, and a good workout. Ski Day#: 44 Date:   02/15/19 YTD totals: 520 Runs/Lift Rides, 625,608  Vertical ft., 548 miles, # of smiles = smiling all day! Area:   49° North   Weather: High overcast, snowing, 25-27*F Snow: 1 foot, medium light pow, very skiable. Wind packed in just a couple areas.  Best thing: Skiing the trees, first 2 tracks down Powder Keg.  Daily stats:  8 Runs, 15,227 Vertical ft, 12.9 miles Side note: Chair 4 down for the season. 

Ski Day#: 43 Date:   02/12/19 YTD totals: 512 Runs/Lift Rides, 610,381 Vertical ft., 535 miles, # of smiles - a shit ton Area:   49° North  Weather: 20-25*F, snowing Snow: 6" new in 12 hours, 16" in 24 hrs, 33" in 48 hours. Light fluff!  Best thing: Every run was the best thing! Met a cool guy named Fred, that lives close to me. We tore up several pow runs.  Daily stats:  12 Runs, 18,763 Vertical ft, 14.6 miles

Ski Day#: 42 Date:   02/11/19 YTD totals: 500 Runs/Lift Rides, 591,618  Vertical ft.,  521miles, # of smiles- a bunch Area:   49° North   Weather: Sunny, then high over cast 10*F Snow: Ultra light fluff, 2" new on top of 12" new from 24 hrs. Very good skiing Best thing: Finding my right Nordica Enforcer, after looking for it for 3.5 hours. I found it as I was skiing away on one ski, in the trees about 125 ft from where it came off. I was very happy. The Ski Patrol really stepped up for me. I was exhausted by the time I got to the Surf Ranger. Daily stats:  7 Runs, 13.462 Vertical ft, 11 miles

Ski Day#: 41 Date:   02/08/19 YTD totals: 473 Runs/Lift Rides, 578,156  Vertical ft., 509 miles Area:   49° North   Weather: High overcast, snowing, some fog on summit. 20*F. Snow: Light, cutup powder - 3-4" new and accumulating, on top of 3-4" 24 hour old powder. Very fun, finding powder stashes and skiing the sides. Best thing: Finding the powder stashes and skiing the sides, and Upper Cy's Glades Daily stats:  8 Runs, 13,180 Vertical ft, 10.9 miles

Ski Day#: 40 Date:   02/05/19 YTD totals: 465 Runs/Lift Rides, 564,976  Vertical ft., 499 miles Area:   49° North  Weather: Overcast, variable fog top 1/3, snowing lightly, 22*F Snow: Dusting on new, on top of cut up powder/crusty/icy. Groomers were great. Off-piste was good and I found some powder stashes, but unless in was level/smooth, it was harder to ski, as it was very crusty and firm underneath Best thing: Two nice runs on Upper Cy's, but also freelancing the trees on the the side Silver Ridge was super fun.... make 5-6 turns on the fall line then traversing back uphill, only to take 5-6 more turns in untouched pow. Ski Day#: 39 Date:   02/04/19 YTD totals: 457 Runs/Lift Rides, 551,023  Vertical ft., 486 miles Area:   49° North   Weather: Mostly sunny, mid 20's Snow: Groomed - 2" fluff on top of firm, Off-piste - dust on crust Best thing: Skiing off-piste and smiling about it. Nordica Enforcers rules that shit! Daily stats:  7 Runs, 12, 774 Vertical ft,  11.4 miles

Ski Day#: 38 Date:   02/02/19 YTD totals: 450 Runs/Lift Rides, 538,249  Vertical ft., 475 miles,  Area:   49° North  Weather: Sunny, w/ some clouds blowing over, 32-33*F Snow: Groomed - mostly very form to icy, some soft stuff on top or on the sides of the runs. Off-piste - Upper 1/5 is soft, remainder is very setup, dried concrete Best thing: Surviving the walk to/from the overflow parking lot, it was bare ice.  Not my best day this year. Was ready to go home. The Enforcer 93's hold very well in ice, that was probably the best thing of the day. Daily stats:  4 Runs, 7,277 Vertical ft, 6.3 miles

Snow: Groomed - soft, packed, very good. Best thing: Being free to ski and getting 8 runs in and leaving when it started to get wet.  Daily stats:  8 Runs, 13,525 Vertical ft, 11.8 miles
